Brooke USA Launches Emergency Campaign Supporting Equines Affected by Nevada WILDFIRES

Help Nevada’s Horses and Their Owners Recover 

Wildfires can change everything in an instant. Homes, pastures, fences and livelihoods can be lost, leaving families to face an uncertain road ahead. For those who care for equines, the devastation carries another heartbreaking concern: how to keep their animals safe, healthy and by their side. 

Brooke USA Foundation is committed to helping. 

Through the Nevada Wildfire Disaster Relief Campaign, Brooke USA is supporting Fleet of Angels as they provide critical assistance to equines and their owners affected by the wildfires in northern Nevada. 

For equines, the effects of wildfire can continue long after the flames have passed. Smoke can take a serious toll on their respiratory health. Burns and other injuries may require veterinary care. Pastures and forage can be lost, while hay and feed exposed to smoke may no longer be safe. Fences, shelters and other essential parts of a horse’s home may need to be rebuilt. 

And for the people who care for these animals, the emotional and financial burden of rebuilding can be overwhelming. 

Your gift can help provide the resources horses and their owners need to begin putting their lives back together. 

Funds raised will help Fleet of Angels provide emergency hay and replacement feed, veterinary care, fencing and other essential supplies, while continuing to support owners through the longer road to recovery.
